B.Sc in Nursing(Basic)

This is a 4-year undergraduate course that focuses on providing detailed nursing knowledge to medical aspirants.

Jahanara Nursing College Admissions Criteria.

Applicants who meet the following requirements will be considered for admission to the the B.Sc in Nursing(Basic) program.

Admissions eligibility for local students:

  • The applicant must be a Bangladeshi citizen.
  • The applicants must have passed both the SSC and HSC or equivalent exams from any group with a total CGPA of 7.00 and a minimum GPA of 2.50 in either the SSC or HSC or equivalent examination.
  • The applicant should apply within 02 (Two) years of passing HSC or equivalent Examination following SSC or equivalent examination as continual.
  • The candidate must attend a preliminary exam organized by BNC and have to obtain at least 40% marks.

Jahanara Nursing College Admissions Criteria.

Applicants who meet the following requirements will be considered for admission to the the B.Sc in Nursing(Basic) program.

Admissions eligibility for foreign students:

  • The applicants must have passed both O'level and A'level exams with a total CGPA of 6.00 but not less than GPA 2.50 in either O'level or A'level examination.
  • The applicant should apply within 02 (Two) years of passing A'level or equivalent Examination following O'level or equivalent examination as continual.
  • Students who meet the aforementioned conditions will be allowed to study at Jahanara Nursing College in Bangladesh. One-third of all seats will be designated for overseas students. If no appropriate candidates are found, Bangladeshi students may be accepted to fill the vacancy.
  • Foreign students must have their application form, O'level and A'level or equivalent certificate, and transcript confirmed by their Ministry of Foreign Affairs and sent to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh on time. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will forward it to the Director General, Nursing and Midwifery Council. Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council will take the required procedures to equalize marks and other criteria with the authorization of the Health education and family welfare division. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will allow admission with mark equalize report from the Council.

Student Registration:

According to BNMC rules and regulations, students must registered after admission.

N.B. JNC's admission Committee will have complete authority to take any decision.

Documents Required

HSC and SSC exams mark sheets.

Certificate of passing the aptitude exam.

Character Certificate.

2 Copy passport size photos.
