To promote the best quality Nursing and enhance the changing image of Nursing Profession in Bangladesh, Jahanara Nursing College (JNC) has initiated its journey in 2019. It offers at a unique campus-based nursing education aiming towards international standards as well as to produce quality nurses to meet its acute shortage in Bangladesh. It is a well-organized professional education facility and a source for both the public and private sectors in Bangladesh. In the very near future, Jahanara Nursing College will strive to introduce a Post-graduation nursing program as well as short-term courses in various health and medical disciplines. Such personnel may also become a resource of earning valuable foreign exchange for the country by rendering their services abroad. All these academic courses would facilitate the development of physical, mental, intellectual, cultural and leadership qualities of nurses. The institution is approved by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, affiliated with the Bangladesh Nursing and Midwifery Council and the Rajshahi Medical University.
Jahanara Nursing College has a huge academic building for multimedia classrooms, advanced laboratories including Modern language lab, Auditorium and College library.The college has a very refreshing landscape consisting of beautiful gardens, fields and a pond.
JNC provide modern residential hostel facilities , transport facilities. The hostel has well-furnished dining, reading room, indoor game facilities and also prayer rooms.
The college conducts the Diploma in Nursing Science and Midwifery course according to the BNMC approved curriculum and also received registration from the Medical University of Rajshahi for B.Sc in Nursing (Basic) and B.Sc in Nursing (Post basic).
